Jake Vogel is the pharmacy manager of Somerset Pharmacy. Jake has worked for Somerset Pharmacy owner, Jim Wetzeler, since 2002 – first as a pharmacy intern in one of Jim’s pharmacies located in Boone, and then as a pharmacist upon his graduation from Drake University College of Pharmacy. Jake is originally from Churdan, Iowa and is a graduate of Paton-Churdan High School. He attended Iowa Central Community College in Fort Dodge to begin pursuing his degree in pharmacy before transferring to Iowa State University where he continued his pre-pharmacy curriculum and began pursuing a degree in business as well. Jake was accepted into the Drake University College of Pharmacy in the fall of 2001 and graduated from Drake in May 2005 with a joint Doctor of Pharmacy and a Masters of Business Administration degree. Jake’s hobbies include custom cabinetry and woodworking as well as a great love for sports. Jake resides in Ames with his wife, Michelle, and their two daughters. Jim and Jake are excited about the opportunity to open a pharmacy in the Somerset area and are looking forward to serving the health care needs of the Ames community, as well as surrounding communities.
